F.R.Hauk Nominated for Medium-Sized Companies Award |

In 2003 F.R.Hauk got the "Award for Medium-Sized Companies". Because of outstanding achievements in the meantime F.R.Hauk is nominated for the "Premier Award" in 2009.
The nomination came from the State Associations of Self-employed/ German Trade & Crafts Associations (BDS/DGV) as a service for Oskar Patzelt Foundation.
Approximately 1,400 institutions nominated the 3,366 best companies from more than three million medium-sized companies nationally.

Building Project - Unter den Linden State Library

In the course of reconstructing the Unter den Linden State Library, single sash windows with filigreed profiling measuring a colossal 1,500 x 5,300 mm were designed. With fittings conceived and modified by us in conjunction with a new type of glass glue, we have succeeded in manufacturing and installing safe sash windows that also have fitted security railings, approved by the specified tearing tester. The certified items were presented to the public at the Bau 2009 exhibition in Munich. |

European Conference Centre in Luxembourg
- Follow-up Order After Completion of the First Construction Phase
|

The follow-up order has been won to build the European Conference Centre in Luxembourg with the first construction phase complete. Built with participation by F.R. Hauk, the new European Congress and Conference Centres in Luxembourg will not only offer sufficient space for the "European Union 27 states" inter-ministerial summits in Europe. The imposing construction is part of an entire complex including the Philharmonie and many additional European institutions, like the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Auditors. |

Hauk provides safety for the Football World Cup at the Olympic Stadium Berlin |
|
|
The Olympic Stadium in Berlin - venue for international sporting events including the Football World Cup 2006. There is, however, a huge safety problem: The pitch is separated from the spectator stands by a deep ditch - originally built for Leni Riefenstahl's spectacular film recordings in the Third Reich. Consequently, in the event of an emergency evacuation of the stands, it would not be possible to use this important escape route. An economical, flexible and fast operating solution would have to be found. The Hauk Team came up with the perfect solution in a sensationally short time. To do so, Hauk decided to use existing components that had already been tried and tested in security systems and adapt them to the problem on hand.
The solution: When activated, the central control system "simply" extends a bridge over the reporters' ditch and opens the gates in just 13 seconds.
The electronic control system only releases the bridge once it is completely locked in place and interrupts the process immediately if it encounters any obstructions.
Only two and a half months were necessary for the complete development - from the first draft sketch, to design, approval, prototype and production, to assembly. The clever design, optimum logistics and effective production at the Nauen factory made it possible to manufacture the total of 29 escape gangways in perfectly good time. |
